Via dell'Indipendenza

Since the mid-19th century, several proposals were made to create an artery that would connect the city center with the northern area, also in anticipation of the construction of the railway station. Only after the unification of Italy it started with the enlargement of Canton de' Fiori, which took the name of via dell'Indipendenza in 1874.

During the slow construction works of the new route, some changes occurred with respect to the original project. In fact, we were far from Monti's attempt, excellently successful twenty years earlier in the construction of via Farini, to reconcile the new road routes with the previous urban fabric. In via dell'Indipendenza instead the rigid straight layout was privileged, which upset the pre-existing streets without any attempt to reorganize them, causing scars on an area that remained, behind the homogeneous facades, unchanged and with the same traffic problems of the past. The new large office buildings and apartments built along the route, with medieval arcades, balconies, mullioned windows and terracotta ornaments of poor architectural success, unleashed violent building speculation on an area previously among the most degraded. The less well-off classes were expelled and the activities that previously integrated the various parts of the city were disrupted.

Caccianemici, Ruggia

On the Bolognese Hills, full of history and tradition, Caccianemici produces natural wines, applying principles of biodynamic agriculture, with a unique sensorial profile, in total respect of the cycles that nature imposes.

Five hectares of vineyards, partly made up of native grapes, where constant work, accompanied by soul, courage and awareness, allows the creation of unique wines characterized by a few simple elements: passion, respect for biodiversity, natural flavor.

Caccianemici is the result of an authentic friendship, cultivated over time with respect and dedication. The completion of the communion of intentions of three friends who, each with their own path, met to realize their dream: to build a project in symbiosis with the earth.

Caccianemici natural and biodynamic wines are the story of this cycle that is renewed and celebrates conviviality in its most authentic form.

Ruggia is obtained from a variable set of company white grapes: Grechetto Gentile, Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio, Picolit, with spontaneous fermentations of whole grape fractions followed by aging in stainless steel, not clarified, unfiltered, not chemically treated.

Cinzia Bomoll, Lei che nelle foto non sorrideva

Esther and Alice, twin sisters linked in their soul by a mutual and ferocious dependence, grow up in a foggy and anonymous village near Bologna.
Ester is fragile and insecure, with her hair dyed black, and tries to overcome the perennial dissatisfaction by chasing the approval of others and assuming provocative attitudes; behind so much transgression lies a sick and self-harming soul, which will lead her several times to stage suicides and to punish herself by cutting herself with glass and razor blades.
Alice, blonde, stronger and more resolute, experiences her sister's instability in a contradictory way: sometimes it irritates her, sometimes she becomes excessively protective, trying to protect her from uncomfortable truths and male pressure.
Against the backdrop of a monotonously flat and dark Emilian province they end up in the same black holes, engulfed by dissatisfaction and anger. Alice reacts with hardness and awareness, Ester succumbs, as sometimes happens to the "sick" part of a single "I", to move forward.
Between alternative rock music and dark atmosphere, the plot unfolds in a compelling way within a real picture of today's society: young people afflicted by a bleak everyday life and disinterested families, kids who throw themselves on drugs and alcohol to face boredom and problems, desire for redemption from a community still ready to label according to social status, clothing, attitudes, even for the music you listen to.
Asia Argento said “This novel is crazy. It mixes anger and sweetness, death and a lot of will to live. It moved and amused me. What a talent.”
