Meet the producer: Caccianemici Bio Autoctona

A breath of fresh air is blowing from the Colli Bolognesi wine area!

Caccianemici is the result of an authentic friendship, cultivated over time with respect and dedication.

I had the proof of this fact in a summer evening, when I had the opportunity to take part to a convivial dinner, with simple local food and their wines, perfectly explained by Walter the oenologist, one of the three friends who joined their forces to realize their dream to build a project in symbiosis with the earth.

On the Bolognese Hills, full of history and tradition, Caccianemici produces natural wines, applying principles of biodynamic agriculture from five hectares of vineyards, partly made up of native grapes, where constant work, accompanied by soul, courage and awareness, allows the creation of unique wines characterized by a few simple elements: passion, respect for biodiversity, natural flavor.

And this is what I found in the glass: lively wines that talk about a territory that, day by day, is finding its own way to distinguish in an omologation world.

  • Ursa 2021: Wine obtained from Pignoletto (Grechetto Gentile) grapes. Spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel vats, not clarified, unfiltered, not chemically treated. Spontaneous refermentation in the bottle through unfermented must addition. The right wine for relaxing summer meals wit good friends.

  • Zenza 2021: My favourtie one, a rosé from Barbera grapes that passed through the same process as Ursa. Bottle refermented, a wine of small and fresh red fruits, thirst-quenching, vertical, pounding and always on the move. Perfect at any time of day, a wine that would be great to have on the beach.

  • Ruggia 2021: A crazy blend for a special yellow-gold white wine. Wine obtained from a variable set of white grapes: Pignoletto, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Picolit, with spontaneous fermentation followed by refinement in stainless steel, not clarified, unfiltered , not chemically treated. Ripe yellow fruit and vibrations, elegant.
